Summer of Fun-Preschool camps
Ages 3-5 years
Let's have fun all summer long. Come join us for a summer of fun and exciting hands on activities. Summer preschool camps are designed for fun and learning. Our teachers are trained in child development and are dedicated to helping children enjoy the discovery of play, learning and social interaction in a safe, positive environment. Each camp is designed to meet the developmental needs of children ages 3-5. Some camps may be geared more towards older 4 and 5 year olds. Children will need a healthy snack and lunch each day. Each week will offer a new and wonderful experience for your preschooler.
Time: 8:30-11:30 am
Dates: Monday-Thursday
Location: Martin Luther King Center.
Fee: $55 for four classes
Summer of Fun Themes
6/21-6/24: Dazzling Dinosaurs
Children will dig up dinosaur bones, create a large paper mache dinosaur, play with dino puppets and learn interesting facts about the creatures.
6/28-7/1: Jungle Safari
Take a trip on wild side and lets go on a Jungle Safari. Children will explore a variety of jungle animals, where they live, what they eat, and their sounds. We will be making animals masks, go on an animal parade, learn about animal babies, go on a jungle hunt, and much more.
7/5-7/8: "Under Construction" Extreme Building Fun
Children will get to use real tools, such as hammers, nails, drills, and saws, in a safe, supervised environment. We will explore many different types of building materials, including Legos, wood blocks, k'nex, and more.

7/12-7/15: It's Fun to Be a Bug
Children will examine many different types of bugs and insects. They will have the opportunity to learn about bees, butterflies, beetles, and many more. We will use a microscope to get up close and personal with some of the bugs. We will also search for bugs that live around us. We will learn about the importance of bugs, which ones are good and which ones are not so good.
7/19-7/22: Messy Masterpieces
Plan on getting messy while exploring many kinds of art materials. Bring your imagination and be ready to paint, glue, stamp, build sculptures, create collages and much more.
7/26-7/29: Rockin' Fun Music Camp
Get ready to dance, sing and use all kinds of musical instruments. Children will be introduced to musical instruments from all around the world. We will make our own instruments, make up songs, and learn new dances.
8/2-8/5: Going To Kindergarten
This camp is designed for children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. It will be a fun filled week of preparing your child for kindergarten. We will work on writing names, drawing, socializing, and getting ready for those first days of school. We will work on basic routines, procedures, and classroom environments.
