CLOSED-February 24th

Friday, February 24th, the Recreation Office (located at 1250 Parkview Ave.) will be closed as part of the City wide Furlough Friday. We will reopen Monday, February 27th. All other Recreation programs, camps, events, etc. will remain open and staffed. Closure dates for 2012 are: 3/9, 3/23, 4/6, 4/20, 5/4, 5/18, 6/1, 6/15, 6/29, 7/13, 7/27, 8/10, 8/24, 9/7, 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30, 12/14, 12/28

Upcoming classes and registration deadlines

Here are a few classes that are starting up in the next days/weeks that you might be interested in:

Preschool Programs with Redding Recreation

We have one of the best Preschool programs in Redding! Our prices are incredible, our instructors are passionate about teaching children and our facilities are safe, clean and welcoming! Classrooms offer many exciting hands-on activities. Children acquire social and emotional skills as well as math, literacy and science concepts. Older children (4 year olds and up) will be participating in work centers, science, math, writing, and phonics. Our program includes arts and crafts and P.E. time. Check out our times and fees and then give us a call to make your reservation!

DODGEBALL-- "The Slaughter"

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball! So run, duck, dive, block or catch it to stay alive. The underdog story of dodgeball has arrived. "The Slaughter" is for all High Schoolers. Teams must wear matching uniforms. Team minimum is 7, max is 10. For more details see our Dodgeball page.

Dance Classes

Dance your way to good health and fitness while learning a great skill and having fun meeting and interacting with new friends. We offer classes in Hip-Hop, Swing, West Coast Swing, Pre-Ballet, and more. Check out our dance page.
