Lights of Liberty Fireworks Show Scheduled for Saturday, October 18
The City of Redding announces a new date for the annual fireworks show originally planned for July 4th. The full show and related activities will be held on Saturday, October 18 at the Redding Convention Center. This year's show will pay special tribute to veterans and those currently serving in the armed services. Pre-show activities will include food booths and local entertainers. A more detailed schedule will follow.
A few benefits of the new date are an earlier fireworks show - 8:30 p.m. rather than 10 p.m., cooler weather, and no smoke.

During our infamous hot summers we offer swimming classes and a variety of aquatics programs. We are especially excited about the Redding Aquatic Center which features an olympic sized pool, a second pool and water slides.
Two large city parks and numerous smaller parks provide ample facilities for picnics and family fun. In addition to our current programs, Redding Recreation is continually seeking new ways to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
