Enjoy Movies in the Park
Come enjoy a relaxing movie in beautiful Caldwell Park. Movies are free and seating will begin around 8:30pm with movies starting around dusk. Donations will be accepted to help the Redding Police K-9 units. Bring your own chairs/blankets/food. June 5, 12, 19, 28. See flyer for more details.
Freedom Festival 2009

On Saturday, July 4th, the City of Redding will present Freedom Festival 2009 at the Redding Convention Center, 700 Auditorium Drive. Scheduled entertainment will include:
6:15-6:25 pm--Welcome, Introductions & National Anthem
6:30-6:55 pm--Kids Unlimited
7:00-8:10 pm--WeR1
8:25-8:45 pm--Country Gold Dancers
9:00-9:45 pm--Shasta College Community Band
10:00 pm--Fireworks Display
The fireworks display will be simulcast by North State Public Radio KCHO/KFPR Radio 88.9 FM. Carl and Linda Bott will emcee the event. Funding for the fireworks display is made possible by the McConnell Foundation.
The public is encouraged to arrive early and find a seat as parking lots fill up early and when they are filled the Convention Center access area will be blocked and traffic will be diverted to other locations.
Please, NO alcoholic beverages or pets.

Big League Dreams Sports Park is a five field turf facility that includes an indoor pavilion, sand volleyball courts, grass warm up area, batting cages, and a full-service stadium club. It is in close proximity to amenities and lodging, and is nearby to Redding Municipal Airport. Redding nestled in the north end of the Sacramento Valley, Shasta County and its three Cities - Redding, Anderson, and Shasta Lake - are 540 miles north of Los Angeles, 150 miles north of Sacramento, and 433 miles south of Portland, Oregon.
